As an active duty military spouse, I know first hand what we all go through when we send
our husbands off to war, pack our homes, say goodbye to friends. Some of the most
amazing women I have ever met have been the military spouses in my husband’s
battalion. These women are strong leaders, excellent motivators and nurturing mothers.
I know you know these women too. They are in your companies, battalions, regiments,
and divisions. They are in your churches, schools and offices. They are the first to say “it’s
no big deal”, “it’s not that hard” but we know for sure that there are things we come across
in military life that are quite out of the ordinary.
I am so proud of all the accomplishments these ladies achieved while our husbands were
gone. I wanted to find a way to recognize those achievements and thank the mothers,
sisters, daughters and family members who go through every deployment and move with
us.
